Moon Movement
An Embodied Journey from Aries to Pisces

Hello my friends.
I have often felt that I wasn't good at being disciplined. This is because I have always lived outside the mainstream, and I have always had the sense of being "other". I have bounced back and forth for years between being very punishing towards myself and being very unprincipled and out of alignment.
As a person who needs to move her body, needs to be creatively using my flesh to express, but has to also be so careful about the kind of modalities and spaces I do this in, I practice moving a lot on my own.
I made the Moon Movement guidebook and video series for people who are allergic to cultural appropriation and want to move their bodies as part of their revolutionary practice. It is for people who need a bit of extra support with creating an embodied spiritual practice. It is for people who want accountability in a non-carceral way. It is for people who want something manageable they can achieve every day.
Moon Movement is a journey through the astrological signs that fosters courage and optimism (not in a toxic positivity way!) but in a way that we need to sustain and grow in community care. There is a rhythm and a deep wisdom to the astrological signs which can hold us as we reach for new, unknown and liberatory ways of living. We can have all the ideals and inspiration we want, but without physical, tangible rituals and practices, without support, our chances of success dwindle.
For me, Moon Movement is one way of doing the inner work I need to move through fear, anger but also ideas that systems of oppression have taught me and keep me from centering those most marginalized. When I center those most marginalized, I also am centering my own marginalized experience. I divest from the privileged part of me, I am not trapped by its rules and expectations. I can act as a true accomplice to the most oppressed.
To be in solidarity with my body is a radical act, because my body contains intergenerational wisdom, sacred relationships, and a knowing of being held by the land that is beyond all I know. Body sovereignty is how I can practice liberation every day. Luna herself will guide me.
I see so many folks trying to get into "activism" and organizing without doing any work on themselves. And I don't mean white girl self care or talk therapy. I am talking about real, daily, accountability, transformation, and spiritual growth. Revolution is soul work. Until we understand that, we won't be seeing collective liberation anytime soon. Moon Movement is a small creation of mine, from my embodied experience to yours, that honours the soul work of dismantling empire.
